Chaplain Jerry Foltz, has been servicing as a Fairfax County Fire Chaplain for 11 years, He is the founding Pastor of the Wellspring United Church of Christ, a congregation he started, that originally met at Station No. 17 in Dec. 1996. He has served churches in three previous locations: Havre de Grace, Maryland; Willingboro, New Jersey; and Woodstock, Virginia. For 7 ½ years before retirement, he served as a regional minister with oversight to 41 UCC congregations in mostly western Maryland. He earned an A.B. degree from Catawba College, Salisbury, North Carolina; a M. Div. from Eden Theological Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri; and a D. Min. from Eastern Baptist Seminary, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was ordained in the Christian ministry of the United Church of Christ in 1969.
Battalion Chief Keith D. Morrison has served in the Fire Service since 1981; 25 being with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department. Keith is a certified paramedic, has an Associate's Degree in Fire Science, Northern Virginia Community College and a Bachelors of Science at Liberty University College in Multidisciplinary Studies; Business, Health Sciences and Christian Counseling. He is a credentialed Chaplain with Christ In Action and is a Commissioned Minister at his home church Chapel Springs Assembly of God Church in Bristow VA.
Chaplain Bill Korpi serves as the parochial vicar of the Church of the Nativity in Burke. Father Korpi was ordained in June 2008 at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington. He attended Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, Mass., which specializes in late vocations. While studying at the Seminary outside of Boston, Bill was assigned to a supervising pastor, Fr. Bob Conole. Fr. Bob was a firefighter before becoming a priest and served as a Fire Chaplain in the local fire department. The experiences that Fr. Conole shared both inspired and encouraged Fr. Bill to apply for service as a chaplain in the Fairfax County Fire Department. Bill served as a Deacon at the Church of the Nativity from 1998 to 2004, and was ordained to the priesthood at the age of 63
Chaplain Harry Chelpon has served as a volunteer emergency medical technician with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department for the past nine years. Deacon Harry completed his religious course of study for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America Special Program for the Diaconate through the Holy Cross School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts in August, 2010. He was ordained to the Holy Diaconate in January of 2011. He has served at a variety of Greek Orthodox churches in the Washington metropolitan area. His career in the secular world started in the Coast Guard. After leaving the military, he assumed civilian positions with the Coast Guard, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and now works with the Department of Defense. He holds a Bachelor's degree in business administration and a Masters degree in Business Management.
Chaplain Robin Rauh Robin is an Anglican minister serving at Epiphany, Anglican in Herndon, VA. Ordained in 1980, he served a number of churches in New York, Virginia and Alabama. Before moving to Herndon, Robin pastured a church and was a police chaplain with Huntsville police department in Alabama. He rode with uniformed patrol and later was transferred to the homicide squad. He volunteered with Fairfax Fire and Rescue as a chaplain after 9/11 until 2003. He is now in coming back to Fire and Rescue as a chaplain in First Battalion. He’s stationed at FS 12 Great Falls.
Chaplain William D. (Bill) Barton has extensive experience that dates back to the 1960s-1970s as a firefighter for Fairfax County where he retired with the rank of lieutenant. Bill was ordained as a minister by Duke University where he majored in Hospital Chaplaincy and Theology. Bill is a member of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors serving as a pastoral care specialist.When Bill lived in Front Royal, VA, he continued serving as a volunteer chaplain for the Front Royal Police Department and the Warren County Fire Service. He also served as the Director for Spiritual Care for the Front Royal Hospital and the Winchester Rehabilitation Hospital. In addition, he was the assistant to the Director of the Winchester Medical Center. Bill is an active member of the Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team for Winchester, VA. He has served during many disaster situations for the International Conference of Police Chaplains/American Red Cross such as at the Pentagon and the World Trade Center after September 11 and also after Hurricane Katrina.
Associate Chaplain Scott Primrose Scott Primrose is in his 16th year with the fire department. He is an EMS lieutenant assigned to Fire Station 10, A-shift. Previous assignments include Fire Station 4-A and 29-A. Scott lives in Warrenton where he has been attending the Bridge Community Church since 2008. At church, he is active in both children and youth ministries and serves as the Alpha Course coordinator. He has also recently been appointed to the Bridge’s board of administration. Scott is taking online courses through Global University’s Berean School of the Bible and is working towards being credentialed as a pastor with the Assemblies of God. He has been commissioned as a chaplain by Christ in Action who provides training in critical incident stress management and crisis intervention. Scott also volunteers as a chaplain for Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Associate Chaplain Smith T Banks II Employed by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue since June 1991, is a Hazardous Materials Technician assigned to Fire Station 40. Smith was born in Washington DC and educated in the DCPS system. He is currently enrolled in Liberty University majoring in Religion. Smith was ordained as a Deacon in his home church Zion Baptist Church of Eastland Gardens in October 2006 and was licensed to preach on January 6, 2013.
Associate Chaplain Piers Osborne started recruit school with Fairfax County Fire and Rescue in June 1998. He is currently an EMS Master Technician assigned to Fire Station 16 on B-shift. Piers and his wife reside in Chantilly with their two children. They attend Chantilly Bible Church where Piers is commissioned as a licensed minister. He holds a Masters of Divinity from Liberty University and is endorsed as a chaplain by Liberty Baptist Fellowship. He is also a chaplain with the Air National Guard and is assigned to the 157th Air Refueling Wing at Pease ANG Base, New Hampshire.
