Chaplain Bill Korpi serves as the parochial vicar of  the Church of the Nativity in Burke.  Father Korpi was ordained in June 2008 at the Cathedral of St. Thomas More in Arlington.  He attended Blessed John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, Mass., which specializes in late vocations.  While studying at the Seminary outside of Boston, Bill was assigned to a supervising pastor, Fr. Bob Conole.  Fr. Bob was a firefighter before becoming a priest and served as a Fire Chaplain in the local fire department.   The experiences that Fr. Conole shared both inspired and encouraged Fr. Bill to apply for service as a chaplain in the Fairfax County Fire Department. Bill served as a Deacon at the Church of the Nativity from 1998 to 2004, and was ordained to the priesthood at the age of 63
