Harry Chelpon

Chaplain Harry Chelpon has served as a volunteer emergency medical technician with the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department since 2004. Deacon Harry completed his religious course of study for the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America Special Program for the Diaconate through the Holy Cross School of Theology in Brookline, Massachusetts in August, 2010.  He was ordained to the Holy Diaconate in January of 2011.  He has served at a variety of Greek Orthodox churches in the Washington metropolitan area.  His career in the secular world started in the Coast Guard.  After leaving the military, he assumed civilian positions with the Coast Guard, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and now works with the Department of Defense.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Masters degree in Business Management.
